Supreme has collaborated with artist and photographer Andres Serrano for a capsule collection of provocative graphics and prints as well as 3 styles of Vans shoes.

The full collection includes two hoodies, sweatpants and two graphic tees. It also includes Vans Old Skool, Sk8-Hi and Chukka models as part of the collaboration.

Serrano was born in New York in 1950 and draws his artistic inspiration from his strict Roman Catholic upbringing. His imagery revolves around traditional religious themes juxtaposed with bodily fluids. According to Supreme's official statement, much of his work "explores and challenges religion."

A red and beige fluid print from Serrano's "Blood and Semen II" adorns hoodies and sweatpants in the collection. Graphic tees showcase Serrano's highly controversial "Piss Christ" which is an artistic work showing a plastic crucifix photograph submerged in Serrano's own urine.

Serrano's work has been so provocative that it has led Christian groups to deface it and issue him death threats, and US Senators have been so offended as to publicly denounce his work.

This is not Serrano's first fashion collaboration. In 2013 he partnered with Altamount Apparel to adapt four of his pieces to clothing, one of which included Piss Christ. The Supreme x Andres Serrano collection features Serrano's works Piss Christ, Madonna & Child II, and Blood and Semen II.

Supreme x Andres Serrano launches September 21st at Supreme stores in New York, Los Angeles, London and Paris, as well as online through Supreme's e-commerce site. The collection will become available in Japan on September 23rd.
