Raen taps former Smashbox and Dermstore exec as VP of Digital

Eyeglasses brand Raen has hired Allison Quiter as its new VP of Digital. Quiter brings 15 years of executive experience including a period leading Dermstore through its acquisition by Target.


Raen was founded in Oceanside, CA in 2008 - Raen


In her role as VP of Digital, Quiter will be tasked with leading all marketing and overseeing all digital channels. She will also lead strategy for wholesale account partnerships to help grow the brand at retail.

Quiter was most recently the Senior Digital Strategist at Vendo where she led direct-to-consumer platform growth. Before Vendo she was the VP Digital Marketing for Marula Pure Body Oil. She has also served as Director of Marketing for Smashbox, leading it through its acquisition by Target, and also as a Senior Manager for e-Commerce and Digital Marketing at Smashbox Cosmetics

She holds a marketing and communications degree from San Diego State University and completed coursework at UCLA Extension.

Quiter said she looks forward to creating a consumer-facing strategy "In a market based on ever-shifting trends."

Raen was founded in 2008 in Oceanside, CA. Its core categories are men's and women's eyewear, including sunglasses and optical eyeglasses. It also manufacturers accessories including flip flops, towels and hats, and offers a tee shirt apparel line. Celebrity fans of the brand include Emily Ratajkowski and Jon Hamm.

Quiter's appointment is effective immediately.
